Mannie Gonsalves is a Calgarian of South African birth. He studied at various art colleges both here and abroad. Upon his arrival in Calgary, he joined the Calgary Sketch Club where he came under the influence of the late Roland Gissing. Subsequently, he received further art instruction from Robert Lougheed, C.A., and Sergei Bongart, N.A.W.A. Mannie Gonsalves is the author of "Snow Scenes", published by Walter Foster Art Books of California. He is a regular exhibitor at the Charles Russell Museum in Great Falls, Montana. Currently, Mannie is an active member of the Federation of Canadian Artists.
