David Ross was born in Winnipeg in 1969. He has also lived in Vancouver and Saskatoon and currently resides in Calgary.
Wanting to see the world and meet different people from all walks of life, he became a flight attendant for Air Canada in 1990. Along with a deep interest in travel, he has always had a great love of art and creativity, both within himself, and what he sees in others.
David's exploration of oil painting began after meeting Robert Wood, who he began training with in 2003. David has found oil paint the perfect medium to portray his love of nature. His work has also been inspired by other artists such as Harold Lyon, Sergei Bongart and James Reynolds.
David is very proud to see his work in Gainsborough Galleries and looks forward to many more years of artistic development.
