Terry Ananny
Biography
Terry Ananny is a full-time painter currently living in Ottawa, Ontario. The many trips Ananny took as a child from Ontario to Quebec and her three children’s joyful experiences of childhood serve as inspiration for her work. Ananny’s artwork has been collected by Canadian Prime Ministers, Governor Generals and the Government of Canada.
Born 1956 – Toronto (Ontario), Resides in Ottawa. From a young age Terry Ananny showed a keen interest in painting and although she studied fine art during her eduction, Terry Ananny is primarily a self-taught artist. As a child, Terry Ananny experienced many trips from Ontario to Quebec. The rich splendor of the colourful Quebec villages were forever etched into the artist’s memory. Ananny brightly recaptures on canvas these charming landscapes and their surroundings with children at play in the great outdoors. Each painting recreates a unique magical moment connecting us to our earliest childhood memories.
Terry Ananny has participated in numerous exhibitions and has collected a number of awards. Her works are held in well over 250 Canadian and international corporate collections including Global Television, Delta Hotels, Canadian Mortgage and Housing, Microsoft Canada, CTV Television, Ottawa Hospital and the Ottawa Senators. Her works is seen on UNICEF cards, Canada Save the Children cards, Foundation cards, Canadian Cystic Fibrosis cards, book covers, CD covers and has been submitted for a Canadian postage stamp and Canadian coin. UNICEF has published ten unique Christmas cards over the past decade featuring the paintings of Terry Ananny.
