Born July 4, 1959, Karl was raised in the beautiful Creston Valley of British Columbia, where he developed an early appreciation for the abundant wildlife that lived there. From a young age Karl spent much of his time in the forest; as a teen he could often be found following a herd of elk on their winter range or camped out beside a high mountain lake, fishing for trout. Karl Lansing began his career as a professional artist in 1991. His talents have made him one of the most respected and sought-after sculptors in his field. His work has gained both national and international recognition, and has been shown in fine art galleries in Japan, Thailand, Holland, Germany, the USA, and Canada.
