About Marie-Andree Leblond

Born in June 1978 in St Jean sur Richelieu, she became interested in drawing at the very young age of twelve and learned oil painting on her own at the age of fourteen.

Upon receiving her diploma in visuals arts from the CEGEP du Vieux Montreal, she continued studying illustration at the College Salette.

Marie-Andree won a series of prizes at different municipal exhibitions and started being noticed by art galleries. She made her definite move to the art market at the age of nineteen.

Recognizing her chance and with a lot of ambition she still wants to learn from her work. Nowadays her paintings are mostly acrylics with water-colour ink, a technique which she has adopted for the richness of the colours.

Gainsborough Galleries are pleased to represent the vibrant works of Marie-Andree Leblond in Calgary.
